I figured out why the hotels were so cheap!!!!

Nobody is here.

I think I have found my perfect annual Thanksgiving tradition!!!

I hate crowds…..The weather is supposed to be sunny and close to 60 tomorrow. Georgetown awaits and my walking shoes are ready!!!!

I am going to see my old house on 39th place and a couple of other favorite spots in Washington D.C., known to fans and residents as “The District”. I am curious to see how many things have changed.

When we came down here for my Seminary graduation in 2015, we did not have enough time to get to Georgetown. Even though my college classes were at Catholic U in the 80s, I was in Georgetown more because I was waitressing my way through school. I would get off work at the bar around 2 or 3 am — and have to drive (or taxi) all the way across town by myself (which could get pretty dicey….was that brave?? or stupid??? )
