Newly Single Woman Gets a Daypass at The Royal Sonesta, Cambridge- and Remembers Childhood at the German Pool Club

Another item on my “single in the city” bucket list was trying out a daypass at a Boston area hotel…..

I had accidentally discovered the “hidden gem” of the resort daypass, while visiting Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. There is a whole website devoted to the daypass. It is called Resortpass.com.

The Royal Sonesta is one of the options for a day pass in the Boston area…..For the extremely reasonable fee of $25, I had access to the huge saltwater pool, a good size fitness area with a number of exercise machines, a large shower with complimentary spa products, towel service and an outdoor sun deck. The pool is covered with a glass roof but the side doors open to a patio/sundeck.

The daypass allows for full use of all of these facilities for the twelve hours (9am to 9pm) that they are open. It also provides the pass holder with 15% off at the hotel restaurant.

Not too shabby…..
