Boat Life- The Five Day Noreaster from Hell

Pajamas and Coffee in Starbucks Saved My Sanity

For the past week we have been in the inner dock area for protection from the LITERALLY FREAKISH windstorm that would not end. Seriously….I’ve been in 4 or 5 hurricanes but that was the craziest wind I have ever experienced! And it went on for days and days…..

What was really strange about it, was that the last couple of days of it were SUNNY!

So strange. Rip roaring winds with sunny skies. Apparently, according to local meteorologists, a big storm was just parked off the coast and was not moving. My what strange weather we are having these last few years!!!

Go figure.

I overheard one of the marina managers talking to our boat neighbor yesterday. He said he has been working on the dock here for over 30 years and has never seen anything like it. He said boats were snapping their lines like crazy!

So I was not overreacting.

Good to know…..

Grateful to be back to our quiet and peaceful outside spot tonight.

Our Quiet Spot At the Dock Furthest From The Shore

Glad we had the option of Safe Harbor but MAN it is busy, crowded and NOISY in that boatyard!!
